At Morgan Stanley I built a system on the desk's internal C++ software that generated the quarterly and annual performance reviews for high-net-worth clients. It automated the data pulling and formatting people were doing by hand, which cut the processing time about in half and left less room for mistakes on client-facing reports. It plugged into the existing portfolio infrastructure behind roughly $750M+ in assets.
I started out in finance, the idea of decisions driven purely by compute struck me as genuinely interesting. That turned into risk infrastructure for a student-run trading fund and automation for high-net-worth portfolio operations at Morgan Stanley. Same instinct as the rest of my work: build the guardrails and automate the busywork so people can move faster without breaking things.
